Tonight, as I’m sure you’re aware is the open house, which will be held on our 9th and 10th floors. Instead of implementing a lockout policy with a screensaver, it was decided that users where going to open up an image of their choice and simply leave it up on their desktop. Machines are going to left open, and unsecured while outside users and clients will be walking floors unchecked for the most part. What I would like to ask is if you could monitor the IPS on and off throughout the evening just to make sure nothing malicious is trying to get in or out, I understand this will do nothing to protect our internal data, however this is best I can do with the instructions handed down to me.
