I downloaded a copy of the AOL search database and have been having fun looking at people’s searches. A good example is this guy:

grep ‘1227287′ and you’ll see he searched for the following (partial list):

sex tips
fbi.gov
designer clothing (after misspelling it once)
gucci
bomb making
jennifer sullivan
free porn sites
switchblade knives
legal marijuana
sextoys
remington guns
bomb making (again)
making silencers
bullet proof vest
stun guns
brass knuckles

I can see why the government would want this stuff. However, it needs to be better sanitized. There are searches for driving directions, which means its a fair guess that the first address is someone’s home address.
