That great great post I blundered

So the post I spent so much time on then deleted is gone forever. I’ll summarize quickly here;

Granted IPS/IDS can be circumvented by a skilled, determined hacker. However, adding more hurdles for hackers to jump increases the likelihood that they’ll slip up and I’ll catch them.

Not to mention the fact that we’re able to market the security of our network and we also pass on part of the cost of that security to our clients. That makes security, for us, much more affordable.

I’ve seen first hand how IPS and IDS increase the security of my network so I’ll leverage these technologies into the foreseeable future.

Pitiful, I had at least 8 full paragraphs dedicated to stating the above…I’m still bitter at myself, lol.
