another flickr feature

poor

poor,
originally uploaded by s.amir_hashemi1.

I just discovered that I can configure my wordpress blog settings in flickr then each picture has a “blog this” button, which will allow me to enter the post text and flickr will upload the link to the picture.

That also means the picture isn’t downloaded from my site, but from flickr, which saves my bandwidth (I have a set limit per month).

Pretty cool.

The only problem is it won’t set any tags…

Shazam!

IMG_2787-a.jpgI love pictures of lightning and I finally caught one myself. This is actually three pictures layered together in photoshop.

I posted it on Flickr also, where I could add notes directly to the image, which can be a pretty cool feature.

Iran Mosaic

I found a cool tool called mosaic maker at FlagrantDisregard.com. There are other flickr tools there that are pretty cool.

Flickr Quota

For those of us who haven’t bought into Flickr Professional, there are three more days to get our monthly maximum of 20 mb uploaded. I just pushed up six more pictures to my profile.

The same pictures are in my Gallery, the main difference between Flickr and Gallery is the social networking aspect of Flickr.com.

flickr

I’ve held off playing with flickr because I run Gallery software. However, Bret over at fishbrains.com uses it for the social networking and because he doesn’t like Gallery’s interface. Because I aspire to be Bret Fisher, I decided to check out what flickr is all about. (more…)
